About

The most comprehensive vestibular medicine educational program, spanning from A to Z,. For otolaryngologists, neurologists , audiologists , physical therapists, and all other health professionals serving dizzy patients One registration will guarantee access to the English , French , Spanish, and Portuguese programs. The final exam is conducted only in English, and another one is in French.

Program Modules

Module 1:

Basic science including anatomy, physiology and neuroscience of the balance and vestibular system.

 

Module 2:

Clinical assessment of dizzy patients including history taking, clinical protocols and clinical scenarios.

Module 3:

Instrumental assessment of dizzy patients, audiological assessment, videonystagmography, video head impulse test, cVEMP & oVEMP, rotary chair, computerized dynamic postrurography, SVV and functional head impulse test

 

Module 4:

BPPV including etiology, variants, diagnosis, repositioning procedures, and overall management.

 

Module 5:

Neurology of the eye movements including physiology, gaze holding disorders and abnormal eye movements in different neurological disorders.

Module 6:

Central vestibular disorders including diagnosis of migraine, posterior circulation stroke and other causes of central vertigo and dizziness as well as pharmacotherapy of dizziness due to central disorders.

Module 7:

Third window syndrome includes symptomatology, clinical, physiological, and radiological diagnosis, and management of different variants of third window syndrome.

​

Module 8:

Pediatric vestibular module includes causes, diagnosis and management of balance and vestibular disorders in children and adolescents.

Module 9:

Unilateral vestibular hypofunction, etiology, diagnosis, and management

​

Module 10:  

Bilateral vestibular hypofunction including etiology, diagnosis, and management

​

Module 11:  

Medical and surgical treatment of vestibular disorders

​

Module 12:

Vestibular -balance rehabilitation therapy including assessment of unilateral and bilateral vestibular hypofunction, PPPD, motion sickness, Visual vertigo , MDDS and falls

Upon successful completion of the program, AVISA Acadamy grants a verified digital certificate of completion to participants. This program is graded as a pass or fail; participants must receive 80% to pass and obtain the certificate of completion.

After successful completion of the program, your verified digital certificate will be emailed to you in the name you used when registering for the program. All certificate images are for illustrative purposes only and may be subject to change at the discretion of AVISA Academy.
